Welcome to the Columbia County Contradance (aka. cococontra) Our series continues in 2012, with more great danceing on the first saturday of each and every month. We hope you will join us here in Chatham, NY. Come early for 30 wonderful minutes of waltzing at 7:30, prior to the 8pm Contradance. Upcoming dances: April 7th with Katy Heine May 5th with Quena Crain June 2nd with Will Mentor November 3rd Fall dance party with Nils Fredland. Morris Memorial hall, Park Row, just off Main St, Chatham, NY. Dances begin with waltzing from 7:30-8:00, then instruction and family dancing between 8:00 and 8:30 PM, followed by more experienced-level dances from 8:30 to 11:00 PM. Bring a friend or come alone, no partners necessary! Admission is $8 - $10 (sliding scale). Important Note: The Hall has asked us to dance in SOFT SOLED DANCE SHOES or Sneakers ONLY! We love dancing on the real wooden floor and non-dance shoes have been damageing it. So please use your dance shoes or sneakers. Those who do not have them will be asked to dance in stocking feet (which is not so bad).
